Mike Uretz has consistently gone above and beyond his original engagement with us by resolving post implementation and support issues with our vendor including a complex clinical data migration that has been very troublesome. Our current EHR vendor was unable to successfully migrate all of our data and Mike Uretz has arranged and moderated many conference calls between our previous vendor, our current vendor, and our office. Mike continues to remain a major influence in this arduous task. His experience and relationships with upper level management allowed us to get the attention we need.

Mike Uretz has broad knowledge of computer software vendors and processes as they relate to individual practice needs. He has gained great understanding of our office’s workflow in order to assist us in expressing our needs to our vendor. He has taken a lot of time, post implementation, to ensure good post implementation support as well as a successful clinical data transfer. The amount of time he has devoted to our project is extraordinary. We have come to rely on him as an integral part of our team

I would like to genuinely thank you for your continued participation in our various biomedical and health informatics courses here at the University of Washington. Whether it is in the Informatics PhD program or the Master of Health Administration program, your presentations and discussions with students have been well received. You’re approach to giving students a real world view of what medical practices and healthcare organizations go through when evaluating, purchasing, and implementing Electronic Health Records is, of course, exactly the sort of content they need to hear – and your direct experiential “stories from the field” make the conceptual content from the textbooks and Readings very real. I will be calling on you to join us again in this coming academic year as the new cohort of students come through.

One of the most well received sessions for the overall program

This is in support of the workshops and seminars conducted by Mike Uretz on electronic health record (EHR) system selection and contract negotiations. Mike has substantial knowledge and experience in these areas, as evidenced by the fact that he is asked to speak at numerous seminars and conferences nationwide. Mike participated in the Knowledge Development Program this past spring conducting a seminar for all state QIO’s attending the program. His education session, in addition to being highly informative, lively, and interactive, was one of the most well received sessions not just for the Spring Learning Session, but also for the overall KDP program.

Providers and organizations looking to select and purchase an EHR would greatly benefit from these workshops and seminars. We plan on having Mike conduct several of these sessions during the course of our upcoming national education program. I believe the participants in their respective state programs would greatly benefit from these sessions as well.

Thank You for taking the time to visit HealthInsight and conduct an interactive seminar on EHR Contracts and Vendor issue management. As a Regional Extension Center our ambulatory and hospital consultants are consistently running into questions from clients about these topics and it can be very confusing. You obviously have a great amount of experience in both EHR contract negotiations and vendor management and your observations and suggestions proved most helpful to our consultants. We felt as if we truly had an Insider’s view. We especially enjoyed the various real life stories of your work with practices and hospitals. I believe any Regional Extension Center and/or their clients can benefit from a better understanding and consideration of these important topics.

Your “EHR Contract and Price Negotiation” presentation provided valuable information to assist physicians toward their goal of EHR implementation.
